Playing Avalon almost feels like going back to the 12th century, the graphics look that old and tired. But that shouldn’t be a surprise considering the game was launched way back in 2006.
Whereas some games just feel timeless no matter when they were created, Avalon really doesn’t. It just feels dated.
That said, though the visuals are lacking, the animations and the transitions are really smooth and clean making the gameplay work really well. Plus, you can gamble on every win.
The symbols are all related to the middle ages with Avalon, a chalice, a crest, a crown, a gem, a chest, and a Lady of the Lake symbol all featuring plus wild’s, A’s, K’s, Q’s, J’s and 10’s.
The best paying symbol obviously is the Avalon which pays out 3,000/1 if you hit five in a row.

Conclusion
Avalon is a bit disappointing. Though it would’ve been a classic when it first came out, over a decade later it has simply been left behind by the surge of fantastically innovative titles that have popped up down the years.
The graphics look dated and the bonus round is standard, though if you get past that, there is a decent game hiding in there.
The house edge is relatively low and the gameplay is excellent, plus there is a really wide range of betting options. There is life in the old Avalon yet.
